Our Attorneys

Angilberto Tamayo

Angilberto Tamayo

Attorney

Attorney Angilberto Tamayo manages immigration, deportation, and criminal law cases. Mr. Tamayo is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom and received an honorable discharge after completing his contractual five years in active duty and three years in the inactive ready reserves.

Mr. Tamayo graduated cum laude from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He went on to attend the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he received his juris doctor degree in December 2015. Upon his graduation, he earned the Praxis certificate for his completion of experiential and skills-based course work. He was also awarded the Dean’s Distinguished Public Service Award and Baum Fellowship.

During law school, Mr. Tamayo interned at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office felony division for several semesters. After graduating from law school, Mr. Tamayo passed the Illinois bar exam and was admitted to practice in May 2016. Mr. Tamayo then began working on immigration, deportation, and criminal law matters.

Edith Rios

Edith Rios

Associate Attorney

Attorney Edith Rios was born in Chicago, Il and grew up in the neighborhood of Uptown. She attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and graduated in 2013 with a double major in Political Science and French along with a minor in Italian. Ms. Rios then went on to attend Chicago-Kent College of Law. While at Chicago-Kent, Ms. Rios had the opportunity to clerk for Richard Kling and made the decision to specialize in criminal law. Ms. Rios clerked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office all throughout law school and was fortunate to be one of less than 30 Assistant State’s Attorneys hired in 2016.  

Ms. Rios wore many hats during her career at the State’s Attorney’s Office. She was able to work and clerk in divisions such as: Appeals, Child Support, Traffic, Misdemeanors, Grand Jury, Preliminary Hearings, and Felony Trial. Ms. Rios has conducted hundreds of trials and motions and has been able to become very knowledgeable about the criminal justice system.  

After leaving the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Ms. Rios went on to work for an immigration firm where she handled hundreds of cases and then went on to do Divorce and Child Support cases. In 2021, Ms. Rios was offered an opportunity to work as a Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney. While at Lake County, Ms. Rios handled traffic, misdemeanor, and asset forfeiture cases all while helping train her fellow partners.  

Bruce Natkin

Bruce Natkin

Founder

Bruce Natkin is the founding partner of Natkin & Associates, P.C. He concentrated his practice in immigration law, helping clients in a myriad of settings, primarily those involving family immigration.

Besides having represented thousands of immigration matters, Mr. Natkin also represented clients in other areas of law, including: foreclosure defense, criminal defense and traffic, divorce and adoption matters.

Mr. Natkin graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Journalism in 1969. He received his J.D. from Northern Illinois University in 1980 and he was licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Mr. Natkin retired in 2017.
